Laryngitis seemed specially unwelcome on its arrival last week. How can I do a book tour for The English Stories if I’m speechless??!! Now it’s more or less gone, though, and tomorrow the process starts — Toronto, Ottawa, Waterloo, Guelph, and Windsor. I’ll write another entry on my return.

The launch for The English Stories in Toronto is set for Tuesday 2 June, 6 pm, at Ben McNally Books, 366 Bay Street.

Thanks so much to everyone who attended! A big crowd, a lovely summery view over English Bay, fine food, a lot of ambient noise from the bar, and very brisk book sales. People’s Co-op Books sold every copy brought to the event. The English Stories was well and truly launched.
